Group Classes

Advanced Jewellery Workshop Days - AX3

This term, in response to your requests, we thought we'd introduce a new package for advanced students! Choose from 3 options which give you improved workshop access to complete your own projects.

Each option includes a 2 hour class each week with Henrietta Fernandez. The class runs from 11.15am - 1.15pm, and the theme for this term is surface treatments. You will have the opportunity to explore techniques such as granulation, the art of adding multiple layers of metal, and the techniques of reticulation and fusion.

These options are suitable for students with advanced jewellery making skills.

Please note that the workshop time is not a taught session. Your tutor can provide input and support for your projects from 11.15am to 1.15pm and although a tutor will be caretaking in the workshop at all times you must have the skills to work independently and safely during additional hours.

Experience

Author, Elemental Jewellery

"Elemental Jewellery" presents 20 original jewellery making projects for students with intermediate to advanced jewellery skills. Drawing from the elements Earth, Fire, Air and Water this book offers a personal insight into the process of designing. By sharing my own process I hope to inspire budding jewellers to find their own and original form of expression through their jewellery designs.
In addition to my own contribution, four inspirational jewellers each present a project to make a piece of jewellery. Nora Fok, Louise Loder, Henrietta Fernandez and Imogen Belfield describe their own creative processes, exemplifying how their work derives from an elemental theme.
This book is due for public release on 10 October 2012. Get your signed copy from me at Flux Studios.
