Course programmes involve; Curtain making, Roman blinds, London blinds, pelmets, valances, bed valances & bed covers, swags & tails, trimmings, cushion making, professional hardware fitting and how to set up and run a successful curtain making business.

At Bury Farm, in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire (on the outskirts of London), we have an interior design showroom and curtain making workroom. It is a delightful and welcoming environment where students can relax and enjoy their training.

Through discussion, demonstration, and making samples, our courses provide students with all the necessary skills required, and the confidence, to go on to make high quality hand sewn window treatments and soft furnishings.

Inclusive of the fees are refreshments, specialist course materials, designer fabrics, and manual compiled of comprehensive notes. An accredited Certificate is awarded on the successful completion of a course.

Victoria Hammond has a BA (Hons) Degree in Textiles and a Diploma in Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings. Following graduation she worked in the design industry, and then founded her business in 2001. She believes in making curtains, blinds and soft furnishings to a very high standard using traditional hand sewn methods. She provides a personal tailor-made service for each of her clients ensuring each window treatment is dressed beautifully, providing a design and fitting service.

Victoria is willing to share her expertise and professional tips she has gained in many years of running her business. She believes in maintaining relationships with those who have attended courses and is happy to give advice on all aspects of the curtain making industry.
