CYKjuniors Kung Fu
Vince wanted to make sure all the children had fun while they learned Kung Fu and to do this he created prizes for good discipline and he enlisted the help of some of his ‘CYK’ students that were more than happy to volunteer.
The children can enter competitions and demonstration only if they feel comfortable to do so (with a little encouragement from the teachers, they do tend to). The CYKjuniors School has entered only one national kung fu championship so far (as of writing: July 2011) and the school came away with one silver and two bronze medals; not bad for their first time at such a prestigious competition.
The children find the training fun and energetic. The parents enjoy knowing their children are well looked after.
Prizes are given at the end of each lesson for good behaviour and also cash is given to the children that have shown great mindfulness & awareness.
CYK Tai Chi
The term Tai Chi Chu’uan translates as "supreme ultimate fist".
The concept of the Tai Chi appears in both Taoist and Confucian Chinese philosophy, where it represents the fusion of Yin and Yang into a single Ultimate, represented by the Yin / Yang symbol also known as taijitu. Thus, tai chi theory and practice evolved in agreement with many Chinese philosophical principles, including those of Taoism and Confucianism.
Tai Chi training involves five elements, nei gung, tui shou (response drills), sanshou (self defence techniques), Weapons, and solo hand routines, known as forms (taolu). While the image of Taijiquan in popular culture is typified by exceedingly slow movement, many Tai Chi styles (including the three most popular - Yang, Wu, and Chen) - have secondary forms of a faster pace. Some traditional schools of tai chi teach partner exercises known as "pushing hands", and martial applications of the forms' postures.

CYK KUNG FU
Founded by Sifu Vince Bloomfield in 1996.
CYK (Cantonese-Chat Ying Kuen) (Mandarin-Chi Yin Chuan) translates as Seven Animal Fists.

This explosive style was developed from the cultivation of several different styles such as Lau Gar, Wing Chun & Shaolin Styles.
Sifu Vince became interested in Kung Fu at the ripe old age of 7 years (1974) when he and his friend used to practise Steel Wire Mantis Gong Fu, as it was known, in his back yard.
Sadly Vince couldn’t afford to go to lessons and as such this skill was left for many years; until he saw an ad in his local Chinese Take Away (1987) for Lau Gar Kung Fu and of course Vince went along to take a look.
He studied in this art for several years and learned the foundations of his Kung Fu development. After which (1990) he studied in a hybrid style for many more years where he honed his own adaptive style.
In 1997 Sifu Vince opened the CYK Kung Fu School and taught this adaptive style to whoever wished to learn. The first year saw a gentle flow of students come and go until Sifu Vince decided to become a registered and recognised Kung Fu style & instructor in his own right (this was quite unique back in the nineties as Kung Fu was not very well known and as such anyone that watched a kung fu movie thought they could teach). CYK became part of the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts (BCCMA) in 1998.
The CYK Kung Fu School were fortunate enough to have many teachers help and develop the style in the coming years to what it is today along with Bob Weatheral (White Crane & Tai Chi Master), Master Wong and Grandmaster Zhu (Traditional Styles and Chi Kung Masters), and finally Master Chen Lei (4 times world Tong Bei boxing and Wushu Champion).
Sifu Vince has developed a style that has become adaptive to other fighting systems and will bend to their weaknesses to create a student that is very formidable if the situation arises.
Some examples of styles taught:
Lau Gar, Wing Chun, Tong Bei, Shaolin, Long fist, Animal styles – Tiger, Leopard, Crane, Monkey, Snake, Northern Mantis, Dragon, Southern Mantis, Bear to name but a few, Drunken, Lo Han, Chen, Yang, Sun, Pressure points, Healing arts, meditation, Tai Chi, Chi Kung, weapons styles – Bo staff, Broadsword, Nun chukka, Steal whip, Rope dart. The list goes on.
As you can see the system is not the easiest of styles to learn but this, if learned well, will make any student capable of understanding they will no longer need to punch, block or kick.
