Starting, Using and Understanding Computers
Free courses in libraries throughout the Wakefield district
We will show you how to use a website called Myguide, this is a website that provides a simple gateway to the internet. It offers a free, easy-to-use courses, an email account and search facility. These short courses will guide you through the basics of using a computer, using a mouse and keyboard. The courses will help you get to grips with day-to-day internet use—like sending emails and searching, as well as other digital technologies. Once you’re up and running, you can take a range of other courses– like shopping, banking, socialising and applying for jobs.
You will have tutor support throughout, helping you get the most from your course. We run 5 week courses throughout the year at libraries throughout the district.
