A few years ago, New York-based photographer Brian Battjer started trying to teach himself basic PHP/MySQL. But he found that all the manuals assumed a level of basic computer expertise that he didn't have. So he decided to teach himself.
"After a frustrating couple of months (and plenty of help from some of my more-patient developer friends), I finally managed to figure out the basics and have since learned quite a bit."
And having learned all this from his friends, Brian wants to pass it on. "I'd love to teach a class where non-technical people can learn the basics that you need in order to start playing around with PHP/MySQL," he says.
