New York-based Nancy Rawlinson is a writer, editor and writing coach with over ten years' experience.
"I discovered, while studying for my MFA, that I was a born editor. I got such great feedback from my professors and other students that I decided to put that skill to work in the real world - but I didn't want a corporate publishing job."
Nancy enjoys the close working relationships with her clients. "I'm much more interested in the hands-on work of helping people write than in marketing plans and sales figures," she says, "though I think a healthy, working knowledge of the publishing industry is helpful, and I try and pass that on to my clients and students too. Ultimately I get a lot of satisfaction from my work."
She gets results too. "My students and clients have gone on to publish books, stories and articles, be accepted at prestigious MFA programs and residencies, and gain more pleasure from their writing lives," she says.
Nancy offers many kinds of teaching and editorial support both in person and by phone - if you're interested you can contact her through her profile.
