One Day Retreat @ SVA Stroud
Saturday 24th November 2012
For many of us, the hardest part of writing is actually turning up at the desk and getting on with it. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, these one day retreats are designed to give you the space and time you need to get away from daily life and focus on your writing.
There will be no phone, no internet, no email, no children, no laundry basket to distract you. There will just be yourself, your laptop or notepad, your plan (or non-plan) for the day and the quiet company of like-minded individuals keen to make some headway on their own projects.
We’ll ply you with tea, coffee and home-made cakes and provide an extensive range of resources on writing to inspire and / or help you come unstuck.
When you register for the retreat, you’ll be sent a worksheet to help you set your own goals for the day. Filling this out isn’t compulsory, but we’ve found in the past that it’s helped our writers get motivated and stay focused on what they want to get out of their retreat time.
Places are limited to ten on this retreat as we aim to keep groups as small as possible, ensuring you have plenty of space and a supportive atmosphere to work in. With no embarrassing read-outs or feedback, this retreat really is for any writer, working at any level. Interested, but can’t make this one? Get in touch and we’ll put you on the list for January.
