Beginners introduction to lampworking

This is intended as an introduction to the world of glass beadmaking. I will comprehensively cover health and safety issues and discuss different set ups that are available currently.
I will discuss with you the different properties of the glass and the principles of striking, reducing and oxidising.
I will spend time with you familiarising you with the equipment I use and showing you many of the tools that are available for you to use.
I will demonstrate how to make a simple bead and then you will get the opportunity to have a go.
Other techniques covered include:
Pulling stringer
Use of frit
Dots
Poked Dots
Gravity beads
You will need to bring a packed lunch but drinks are provided all day long. You will get to keep all the beads that you make
