Beginner violin lessons
These lessons will introduce the beginner student to the basics of violin playing, how to hold the instrument and bow through practical demonstration. Other aspects include, basic playing techniques with and without the bow (pizzicato and arco), familiarisation with basic terms regarding the instrument, how to look after your instrument and the fundamentals of music theory required to begin reading music.
Students can choose to work towards ABRSM examinations but this is not essential.
These lessons are suitable for beginners of all ages.
Depending on the individual student these lessons can be extended to 45 minutes (£15) or 1 hour (£20).
