Intermediate Guitar Lessons in Teddington

If you consider yourself an 'intermediate' level guitarist, you probably have a reasonable chord vocabulary and repertoire, reasonable technique and well developed sense of timing. You may also be able to solo reasonably, know some scales and have some understanding of keys.

You are also probably good enough to know that you could be a lot better.

The key to getting to the next level most often lies in improving your technique and learning about all the mechanics of music aka "theory". Developing your technique will clean up your playing considerably and allow you to play what you want without being held back by shoddy underdeveloped technique.

"Theory" is a word that often puts people off, however if presented and taught in the right way, theory is a wonderfully enlightening aspect of music that will explain exactly what you and all those great guitarists out there are really doing.

Theory on its own can be very dry so every part of what is covered will be accompanied with meaningful practical usage so that you see the benefits immediately. Each musical door that is unlocked will present you with new options and opportunities allowing you to take your playing in totally new directions as well as vastly improving areas that you already have a basic understanding of.

Your guitar lessons will take place at my home in Teddington or via Zoom. To book your first session send a message via the form on my website.
