There are 16 libraries in Medway plus a community mobile library and a children's mobile library. We also have an Archives and Local Studies Centre based in Strood, to research your family and local history.

Our libraries are free to join and offer the following:
books;
a whole host of events;
free internet access;
online resources;
console games;
audio-books on cassette and CD;
DVDs;
or just a haven for you to escape to.

If you cannot get to a library we have the Home Library Service, and a postal service for the visually impaired.

Come and join a Readers' Group or ask us about books for your own group.
