Lana Voia, PhD, is a dedicated practitioner with strong counselling and research skills in the science of hypnosis. She holds a PhD in Clinical Hypnotherapy (2008) and a Master of Arts in Educational Studies (with focus on Adult Education). She also completed credits in research methods and statistics, psychology, counselling, and aging at Concordia University, the University of Toronto and The University of Western Ontario. In the past, Liana Voia worked as a teacher (with various age groups), and was a Research Assistant for the School of Nursing of The University of Western Ontario. She also did policy analysis and quality improvement assessments. She has been published with the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children and in the Canadian Nursing Home Magazine and presented at several conferences in Canada and USA. Liana is also the creator of the HypnoPregnancy and Birth.
