Alex Shimwell Professional Potter Talking Shop Classes

As part of the Transformation Fund Learning Revolution, The Talking Shop Project was formed by Staffordshire University Faculty of Art Media & Design.

The Talking Shop Project wanted to reach people in unusal ways and settings, so we enlisted a group of local artists to deliver their skills to the community, allowing ordinary folk the chance to do something different and creative.

Alex has been teaching the community to throw a pot. Using a potter's wheel in this video, he shows us how to make a pot using traditional techniques.
