Alexander Ewan

My name is Alex Ewan, I have been playing the violin for over 10 years. I currently have 3 years of orchestral experiance with a variety of different orchestras within London. Some of the venues I have performed at include the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall and the Royal Academy of Music as well as oversees. My main aim at the moment apart from picking up some students is to take the performance diploma which I have just started working on repetoire for.

I believe music should be fun – it doesn’t matter if you want to go through the grade system or if you simply want to be able to play for your own pleasure or join your local orchestra or band – I aim to make all lessons enjoyable and suit the individual student.

Music is a very good skill to acquire regardless of your age. In addition to the attainment of musical skills, learning an instrument helps develop your organisational skills as you learn to juggle practise time along with homework (or work for older students!) and other social activities.
