Hello,
I'm an artist with over fifteen years experience in drawing for the creative industry, ranging from illustration, storyboarding, visual imaging, animation and character design, graphic design and printmaking. Nowadays I work predominately with pen, ink and Mac, but am familiar with a wide range of styles, approaches and uses of drawing.

I offer classes for anyone who wants to develop and improve their drawing skills, prepare a portfolio for degree applications or tailor a professional portfolio for illustration commissions.
Basic Drawing:
I provide an introduction to drawing evolving your use of line, tone, colour and composition, helping you develop confidence in handling of media and materials. I will also help you learn how to look, develop creative ideas, summarise what you see and translate it to paper. Classes may take place in art galleries or in a studio.
Drawing for an art degree:
Designed for an artist who wants to develop an arts degree portfolio, my classes, portfolio surgeries and visualisation workshops for will cover all aspects of your portfolio presentation, assess strengths and weaknesses of your current work and help you prepare a strong body of high quality artworks.
Drawing for creative industry:
If you're an illustrator and looking to get more and better work, I can help you with peer-to-peer portfolio review. During the half hourly review, we will go through style, medium, context and intended usage of your artwork. I will advise you how to tap into your ideas, fine-tune your style and how best to present your work in a clear and successful pitch.
