I've been a full-time Director of Music for 14 years having worked at Danes Hill School (Oxshott), Barrow Hills School (Witley) and St George's College (Weybridge) I offer tuition on Flute, Saxophone, Piano, Electric Bass, Guitar, Music Theory and Music Technology. I teach all ages and have plenty of experience of Primary age pupils and adults looking to learn an instrument for the first time. Lessons take place at my home address but I am happy to occasionally travel. Music is supposed to be fun and I do my best to keep it that way. Jazz and Improvising regularly appear in my lessons as I believe these are core skills every musician should have experience of. I am classically trained and do enter pupils for formal Associated Board music examinations. You don’t have to do exams but I think it’s important to have goals and targets. Quite simply if a pupil does not give 48 hours notice that a lesson can not take place then the lesson is still charged. Equally if I am unable to do a lesson and give less than 48 hours notice the lesson will be refunded.
