I live in London and am currently Head of Sociology at Collingham Tutorial College. I am also studying for a PhD in History at the University of Warwick. My first degree was in English Literature and my PhD brings together my training in the Arts and Social Sciences. I also sing in a choir and enjoy reading, cooking and walking in the Devonshire countryside where I grew-up.

I have been teaching for ten years both privately as a tutor and as a teacher at schools in London. I have taught students of all ages and backgrounds, from Primary School to Master's Degree level. I have taught across a range of disciplines in the Arts and Social Sciences, including: Anthropology, English Language, English Literature, History, Sociology and Social Policy. I also have years of experience teaching students with special needs. I have a record of producing excellent results.

I love teaching. I see my role as a teacher to inspire and facilitate a student's mastering of their subject regardless of the level from which they start out. I can provide steady guidance and individually tailored teaching support with a focus on both a thorough understanding of subject content as well as the development of essay writing skills and examination technique.
