Bonjour :) Would you like to become fluent in French? I am Alexa, a French tutor and native speaker from Paris, and I provide a series of fun, relaxed and entertaining lessons tailored specially for you! I have over eight years’ teaching experience in the UK, and I also taught in France, the USA, and Japan. Check out some of my feedback below.

My lessons are structured and prepared around your needs, often building on previous experience and then pushing forwards helping you progress quickly, build confidence and increase proficiency. I also focus my lessons to your specific interests or requirements, whether it is learning French for business, improving your conversation skills, or preparing for an exam (GCSEs, A-levels, the DELF/DALF).

I am passionate and dedicated to my students, making sure every lesson is extremely enjoyable, using bespoke and topical content that includes a variety of media types such as videos, recordings and articles. Whatever your level, with my strong focus on speaking and listening, you will quickly gain the confidence to speak freely and easily!

I am available to teach 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm, either at my home in York city centre or online using Skype, FaceTime and Google Hangouts. The first lesson is always free and includes a short questionnaire, within which we identify your current level, establish your aspirations, and setup a bespoke teaching structure specifically for you and your schedule.

My rates start at £25 pounds an hour for one person, plus an extra £5 an hour for every additional person.
