I am an enthusiastic graduate with excellent communication, interpersonal, numeracy and organisational skills, possessing an outgoing personality and a thirst for personal and professional development. I graduated with a MSc in Housing which has enhanced my understanding in the legislation and policies governing Social Housing in England and Wales. I hold a Masters Degree in Housing Law and Policy from Middlesex University, which has equipped me with academic writing and research skills as well as relevant communication skills. I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Housing and Welfare Management obtained at Trans-Atlantic College, London, an Honours Degree in Geography and English, TESOL Plus Diploma, NVQ 2 in Social Care and NVQ 3 in Children & Young People.
I have over 6 years of experience working in the fields of Social Care and Housing both as a frontline member of staff, an Adviser and as a Policy Reviewer. I have also worked part-time as an Assessor for Various Local Authorities in London as an Assessor for elderly people who wished to be housed in Sheltered Housing. I have set up and ran two drop-in surgeries in the Borough of Haringey in London where the community came for advice on welfare benefits and Housing Law and housing related matters.
I have 4 years experience of teaching English in Spain as a Second Language to various age groups including 3 and 8 year olds, 16 year olds and mature students. I have done coaching and tutoring whilst in University and after graduating to undergraduates in the field of Social Sciences. My speciality is in Housing Law, Employment Law, and Strategic Planning though my background has allowed me to coach students in other fields as well. I have edited and proofread dissertations for students at the City & Islington College, London South Bank University and London Metropolitan University.
I am an Experienced English teacher that has worked with students of all levels in London and Spain. I am available to teach online and private one to one.
Fees
Lessons will be charged at the rate of £___20__________ per hour, payable after each lesson in
cash or a cheque if lessons are purchased in advance with a minimum of 4 lessons.
Deposit
After the first lesson, payment of one lesson in advance is required as a deposit.
Cancellations
Any lessons cancelled by the Student (or the Student’s parent or Guardian) with less than 48 hours notice will result in the deposit being forfeited, unless the Tutor decides otherwise because of exceptional circumstances. If the Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson, the lesson will be rearranged for a time that is mutually convenient for both Student and Tutor.
Termination of Lessons
Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date, at which point the deposit will be returned. Both the Tutor and the Student (or the Student’s parent or Guardian) reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the student.
Limitation of Liability
While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress, this can not be guaranteed, and the Tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the Student. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tutor accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s services or any errors or omissions in the content of the Tutor’s learning materials.
