Come and join me at this wonderful venue for a weekend of Shiatsu. Find out more at www.whitecliffretreats.co.uk
We will learn how to use this Japanese hands-on therapy for relaxation and healing.
Shiatsu literally means "finger pressure". Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing experience and regular
Shiatsu sessions help to prevent the build up of stress in our daily lives.
Techniques to help restore the flow of vital energy (or Chi) in the body include gentle holding, pressing with thumbs, palms, elbows and knees, and more dynamic rotations and stretches.
In this workshop you will learn some basic and easy-to-master Shiatsu techniques that you will be able to use on your friends and loved ones. You will learn how to develop the "Shiatsu touch" and enough theory to enable you to practise safely on your friends in a nonprofessional capacity. Your newly acquired skills will be deeply appreciated by those around you in need of relaxation and of a compassionate loving touch.
Shiatsu is good for relaxation generally and great support for stress management and for lowering blood pressure. You will be given information for the treatment of common ailments such as headache, backache, tense shoulders, poor sleep, poor digestion, emotional distress and mild depression, common cold, muscle stiffness, general tension and more.
This workshop will be of interest if your aim is to practise on those around you. It will also be
of great value if you are a professional body therapist and want to develop a subtle touch or broaden your experience of different types of therapy.
