REVIEWS BY PARENTS:

“My two sons (now aged 7 and nearly 6) have been having piano lessons with Chris Marsh for 2 years. They are typical boys ( i.e. pretty lively to say the least!) and I have been amazed and so pleased with how Chris has worked with them. He is patient and kind and has kept their interest throughout; they work from a variety of colourful music books and he even teaches them little 'extras' from their favourite shows and films. I cannot recommend Chris highly enough; not only are my boys able to play some lovely tunes, but they have grown in confidence and have impressed me (and themselves) with their ability to commit to learning each week.”

Andrea, New Malden

“Chris teaches the piano to three of our children and manages to adapt his teaching to their widely differing musical personalities very well. His lessons are rigorous, lively and fun, and his love of a huge range of musical styles is infectious. We are so fortunate to have him!”

Katy, Fulham.

“With fingers crossed, I booked a few lessons for my 5 year old son hoping that he would enjoy it (and that Chris would have the patience of a saint!). Well, my son did (and Chris did!). We're now on our 3rd term of piano lessons and my son has developed quicker than I could have hoped. He's halfway through his third book and is enjoying lessons immensely. Chris is patient but firm and manages to keep my son on track for the lesson. My son loves it and holds mini concerts whenever a new, unwitting guest arrives at our house!
Great teacher, great pace and most importantly great patience!"

Ash, New Malden

“Chris has been a fantastic teacher, providing an excellent introduction for our daughter learning the piano. A supportive and encouraging teacher, Chris blends challenge, enjoyment, fun and an individual attention which has resulted in good progress and most of all a better understanding and appreciation of music. Highly recommended and lucky to get!!”

Jack, New Malden

“My 7 year old son started piano lessons with Chris a year ago. He is still happily going to lessons and we are really pleased with his progress. Chris is great with children, as he is patient and encouraging. He keeps my son interested with great book choices and by giving him a chance to choose songs of his own. I recommend Chris to anyone who wants to learn piano as he is a fun and talented teacher.”

REVIEWS BY ADULT LEARNERS:

“After many years away from playing piano, I decided to take it up again as an adult - but without the exams! Chris is a patient and innovative teacher that I would definitely recommend. My two daughters asked if they could also take up piano with Chris - they are both really enjoying the lessons too.”

Maria, New Malden

“I enjoy clarinet lessons with Chris very much and find he is very patient and supportive and makes the lessons fun. He gave me invaluable advice when buying the clarinet and did not mind being phoned or emailed to give advice at any time. I also find his teaching techniques to be outstanding. He is very encouraging especially when I find different tunes to the ones in his book and will teach me how to play them. I would recommend him.”

Caroline, Kingston

“Found my piano teacher, on the internet. So glad I did as I really enjoy my lessons with Chris. He's got me playing with two hands after only four weeks! Such fun”

Ann, New Malden.
