Daniel and Helen Mallarkey

We have been updating our CRB certificate’s for many years! We are a Grimsby based Music School called Mallarkey’s Music School. (moved from Bridlington Sept 2011) We also work in the villages in and around Winterton North Lincolnshire as well as do Mobile Seminars and School Assemblies.
I know this is my profile but ... We are a Husband and Wife team at Mallarkeys Music School and we teach many instrument’s between the two of us like: Guitar, Violin, Piano, Singing/Vocal Coaching, Bass Guitar, Video Editing, Sound Systems and PA set up and engineering, Professional Recording using Pro Tools by Digidesign, The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Theory and Practical Examinations. Basic Computing and Internet Skills. We also Have a Professional Purpose built /Air Conditioned Recording Studio and record CD projects.
They say if you love what you do you will never work another day for the rest of your life. We love what we do and are pleased with the feedback we get from parents. One comment we hear a lot is how happy the parents are to see such a new confidence in the students they send to us.
We try to make the lessons FUN! We have a High Definition Projection System interfaced to the Internet as well as a 5.1 surround System for DVD and the students can perform with an in-concert like experience they can FEEL THE ENERGY PULSE as well as SEE and HEAR! Not exactly an IMAX cinema experience but close!
Some of our students have made it through to the Video Taping round of Britain’s got talent for Singing (See YouTube for Esther Fletcher a 12 year old Gifted Singer. Also one 17-year-old student has been recruited by the X factor!
We are a "MOM and POP" operation and we have 4 children at the minute. We know how to relate to children on their level and this is very important to the working relationship ie: The Chemistry between student and Teacher! The kids need to feel comfortable with the teachers. They can see we love what we do and this is an important part of the Teacher/Student relationship.
We try to build a strong foundation for the student then they can build on that themselves.

I have known this couple for eight years. My relationship with them has been a combination of friendship and professionalism. The Mallarkey School of Music i.e. one of long standing integrity both in the UK and the USA.
I have worked with Mr. Mallarkey in the classroom where he has delivered well-planned, dynamic, fun and productive teaching sessions. The children are captivated by the content and presentation of his chosen subject material.
Mrs. Mallarkey has taught my youngest child violin for a considerable time. The patience Mrs. Mallarkey demonstrates and the confidence she instills in the child is outstanding.
As a team they work in harmony ensuring at all times the needs of the learner. They are a terrific team to work alongside of and in my opinion their strongest attribute is their mannerism. Children learn where they feel valued. The paitent and friendly manner Mr. and Mrs. Mallarkey practice in their school ensures the children experience the confidence to try out new things.
I would, whole-heartedly, recommend the Mallarkey School of Music to any educational facility. Given that Mr. Mallarkey taught in East Riding College there is great scope for crossing all age ranges.
