I am a 25-year-old drummer, percussionist and programmer with 12 years playing experience. I read music, have experience with backing vocals, playing to clicks/loops and also play guitar.

Artists/Producers I have worked with include: Boo Hewerdine (Eddi Reader, Natalie Imbruglia, Mel C), Mark Freegard (Manic Street Preachers, The Breeders, Del Amitri), Marc Pilley (Hobotalk), Union of Knives (Relentless Records), Mull Historical Society (B-Unique Records), Pippa Fulton (Fame Academy Tour 2003), Hiding Place (Sony BMG), Rico (EMI-Chrysalis).
I am currently among other projects playing for singer/songwriter Jake Cogan and touring extensively with metalcore group Azriel.

I have been taught by various teachers, most recently Ric Chandler (Amy Studt, Un-Cut, Rico, Tricky, Gary Numan, Calvin Harris...).
I have also attended several courses including the Rhythm Course at Bath University, where I received tuition from top drummers such as Marco Minneman, Thomas Lang, Virgil Donati and Mark Mondesir. I have attended several Jazz improvisation courses, and been tutored by musicians such as Laura MacDonald (Berklee college of music) and Steve Hamilton (Bill Bruford’s ‘Earthworks’).

I work on programming both for my solo material and for other artists, and in March 2009 had my remix of ‘I Kno U Want It’ by Liverpool based group ‘Soft Toy Emergency’ released on Friends Vs Records. I have also worked extensively on incorporating technology in to a live setting, triggering loops/samples and live manipulation of audio.

I recently spent time in Finland studying at Joensuu music conservatory.

I teach both privately and in schools, and have recently been teaching groups in a master class setting. I have full disclosure.
