Hi folks,
I've been practicing Tai Chi since the early nineties - originally Yang style, then I discovered Chen style & stuck with it ever since, although I still teach a couple of Yang style classes too.

I try to teach in a relatively informal way, with an emphasis being on enjoying learning, although I also encourage students to work hard if they want to obtain the most benefits from Tai Chi.

I cover short & long Chen & Yang style forms, chi kung, applications, weapons, push hands & the occasional meditation when I don't get carried away with whatever else we're doing that class (a bit rare).

I run weekly classes in various locations & new students are always welcome - have a look at my website http://chentaichi.webs.com/ to see if what I teach is the sort of thing you'd like to learn - see the link below or google 'dragon river tai chi'.

Alfreton: Chen style Tai Chi Chuan for health, balance & relaxation

This session is generally aimed at health and relaxation - if you can cope with light exercise, you can do this one.

The classes are aimed to be relaxed, informal, and have an emphasis on enjoying learning rather than being straightlaced and serious, although this may be more down to the attitude of the teacher than a reflection on Tai Chi generally!

Experience

Training experience

Since starting Tai Chi in 1993, I've trained with various instructors, including my main teacher - Jay Rossi, and also Master Liming Yue, Master Wang Hai Jun, Grand Master Kongjie Gou, Grand Master Chen Zheng Lei and several weeks training in the Chen village in China, where Chen style Tai Chi was invented, being taught by the school headmaster - Grand Master Chen XiaoXing.

Hopefully in all that time, some of all that talent's sunk in!

I've taught quite a few Tai Chi classes over the years - small groups, large groups, one off sessions, one on one sessions, conference sessions, classes for young people, classes for more mature people - so whatever you're looking for, I can probably provide it - give me a call :-)

Nope - no small print! What you see is what you get - if you're interested, contact me & come along to a class to see what we do. Different Tai Chi classes teach different things & in different ways, so shop around & find a style & teacher that suits you.
Happy hunting ;~)
