I am a singer/songwriter based in Cambridge and have been gigging and teaching for about 8 years. please see www.facebook.com/daveirvingmusic for more information about me and to listen to some original songs.

My lessons are very relaxed and the focus is on learning how to play modern songs on Acoustic Guitar (not Electric or Classical) such as anything from Oasis & The Beatles to Ed Sheeran, Green Day & Radiohead.

I also encourage students to tell me what they want to learn and if I don't know it then I will work it out so that I can teach it (as long as it has got a guitar in it !!)

I do not teach scales etc and do not put students in for exams, we would focus on chords and strumming patterns with the aim being to play (and sing if desired) songs from memory and along with the CD.

I am happy to travel to my students homes.
