Dena Barnett
I trained as an actress and dancer at drama school.
Previous work as an actress, singer and dancer in the UK and abroad inspired me to form two cross-arts companies, where I produced appearances for clients at: The London Palladium and the Grosvenor House Hotel. Working with vocalists and cabaret
performers.
I later gained a Bachelors Degree (Hons) in Performing Arts and as a graduate I was a regional festival director working with visual artists, musicians and new performance practictioners.
This work led to a break at Carlton Television where I worked as a researcher and later as a Runner on the film 24/7 starring Bob Hoskins.
I trained as an English and Drama teacher and combined teaching with a career in film and television production working for the BBC and Channel 4.
I have worked as a drama teacher in Spain at an international school and have had the opportunity to work as a classroom teacher at Leavesdon Studios on Harry Potter.
My work as a media teacher also extends to working as a tutor in further education and as a lecturer at Nottingham Trent University.
I currently work as a drama teacher in the UK for children and adults.
I can offer drama lessons which are either academically based/one-to-one coaching for Drama school entrance or for fun and creativity.
I have a current CRB (advanced) and a Chaperone license.
I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your requirements.
