Don Spargo
I have been practising Wu's style tai chi chuan for 20 years and teaching it for 17 years. I am registered with the International Wu's Style Federation and as a A grade instructor with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.
I teach Tai Chi Chuan mainly for the health benefits that accrue from its practice, but also teach and fully acknowledge the martial side of the art since I also teach pushing hands and weapons forms. My main aim is to pass on to the students some sense of the pleasure I get from practicing Tai Chi Chuan in the hope that they will derive pleasure from it too and continue to practice the art and benefit from it.
I am chief instructor at the Wu style Tai Chi Chuan Academy, Archway and have taught corporate classes at organisations such as Price Waterhouse Coopers and ITN, run classes for children with learning difficulties at Whitefield School and run workshops for organisations such as the dysphasic adults association and the Stroke association. I also offer private tuition to students by appointment.
In addition I have given one off workshops, seminars and/or demonstrations to various organisations and at many events. I have also competed in, and judged at many National and international competitions in forms and push hands events.
