Director of Sussex Drum Academy

Ed began playing drums as a teenager in 1992 and by the time he reached his twenties he had become well known as a session drummer working with high profile artists such as Marshal Jefferson, Krafty Kuts and Morcheeba. He has featured on over 150 official releases and has performed extensively throughout the UK and overseas.

Over the years Ed has also supported and toured with many top groups such as Diversity, Gangstaar, Morcheeba, Craig David and recently appeared in the new Adidas 'Mega' commercial. In 1998 Ed also began producing music full time, which lead to his success remixing artists including Sean Paul, Usher, Alisia Keys and Whitney Houston.

By popular demand Sussex Drum Academy officially opened in 2010. This has now grown into part of Ed's career and a great way for him to share his passion for music with others.

"My teaching method is simple, focus on building the students confidence which allows them to relax and enjoy learning to play the drums. Many of my students have developed far beyond even their own expectations, which is hugely inspirational for me as a tutor.
