Hi, my name is Fred and I am a 27 year-old professional drummer and teacher with over 15 years playing experience. I have been in many different bands playing very varied music, from metal to classical and everything in between. I have played at festivals in Britain and Europe and have made appearances on mainstream BBC television and radio. I am currently the drummer for Kent band Syd Arthur as well as numerous other side projects.

I have been teaching privately for the last 5 years and I am a fully qualified musician with a 1st Class BA(Hons) in commercial music from Canterbury Christ Church University. My musical tastes are very eclectic and this informs my teaching style. I persuade students to develop a very broad musical palette and to be receptive to every style of music as a potential vehicle for growth and development. Lessons are conducted in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and are tailored to suit individual students as opposed to forcing students to adhere to a rigid syllabus that is inappropriate to their needs and desires. All ages and abilities are welcome. Areas of study include technique, rudiments, reading, timekeeping, stylistic awareness as well as any area in which the student desires guidance. Preparation for exams and grades is available upon request.

Lessons are conducted in my studio in Herne Bay but for a surcharge I can travel to surrounding areas including Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham etc.

Competitive Prices.
