My name is Gheorghe Tuca and I am a Master in Solo Performance graduate of the RNCM as well as an accredited ABRSM violin tutor in Manchester.

I am an experienced violin teacher available to give violin lessons for students of all ages and levels. Complete beginners are most welcome. I have a friendly, flexible approach and my aim is to make learning enjoyable and satisfying.

Prices are £30 per hour or £15 for 30 minutes

Location: The lessons take place at my house in South Manchester.

Teaching Experience

Mr Tuca is an experienced teacher, having taught pupils of all ages and abilities. He has a wealth of knowledge of violin playing from years of studying with the best teachers in the UK and his passion for the violin is infectious. He has not only taught privately but has given masterclasses, coached string quartets of 10-11 year olds, conducted children's orchestras and taken workshops. He was invited to teach on the Easter Pro Corda course in Suffolk where he was employed coaching quartets of children, conducting the orchestra, performing and leading group discussions. If you want to simply learn for fun or work towards formal exams,auditions, or performances,then he will be happy to help.

His English is very good having studied in England for over 10 years and he is registered with the criminal records bureau (CRB).

He is also available to take group lessons, chamber music lessons and masterclasses or workshops.

Gheorghe Dorin Tuca was born in Arad, Romania and won many national and international competitions during his youth there. He came to England to study the violin at the Purcell School and later, gained a full scholarship to study at the RNCM with the leader of the BBC philharmonic orchestra, Yuri Torchinsky. He was recently winner of the MBF'S Manoug Parikian award among others. He has given performances as a soloist, chamber musician and leader of orchestras all over the UK.
