A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music London, Helen joins a distinguished alumni including Sir Elton John, Sir Simon Rattle and many more.

After a career as a professional opera singer performing at the major venues including English National Opera, the Linbury Studio-Royal Opera House at Royal Opera House and Garsington Opera, Helen also appeared in ‘Phantom of the Opera’. She is sought after as a speaker and is giving a series of opera lectures From Baroque to Britten at the Bishopsgate Institute London next Spring.

Our repertoire consists of sacred to secular and more modern pieces for a new ladies choir.

Music reading abilities is an advantage.

Teaching experience

With frequent broadcasts on television and radio, Helen recently appeared on BBC World News and as a guest on The Paul O'Grady Show. She receives substantial press coverage with a feature in The Times supplement.

Dividing her time between teaching, leading workshops and choirs, Helen is also in demand as a speaker. Her Opera Appreciation Talks are immensely popular.

Helen is Director of Corporate Singing Workshops facilitating bespoke singing events for businesses and companies looking for unique team-building sessions. She also lectures for University College London and is delighted to have joined the staff at Bishopsgate Institute. She has recently been appointed opera critic for Mark Aspen reviews.
Helen’s book Singing Tips at your Fingertips is described by Gary Lachman (The Guardian), as “the place to find the singer within” available on Amazon.
