Ian Lowther

I live near Bishop Auckland, from been very young I played for various brass bands as their 1st cornet. Going abroad to various places. Later on teaching very young pupils within the band to form their own junior band which was great fun for my self and most of all for them, learning at such a young age or even older has so many advantages, ie confidence building, most of all being part of a team.
I have meet so many wonderful children and adults with the will to learn can open so many doors to the world.
In my own job as a Professional Driving Instructor, being patient, reliable and friendly also helps teaching pupils how to enjoy music.
I believe this has come from the way my parents never held me back, when I wanted to learn the cornet at school, every endeavour was given to pass music exams and better myself.
Music for me has always given me so much pleasure and achievement.
