Ion Paciu
Member of The Royal Photographic Society (RPS)
Ion is a London based freelancer photographer and tutor, specialising in architecture and portrait. He moved to London, United Kingdom more than 7 years ago, exploring the mysteries of this city ever since.
He devoted himself to photography, striving to capture pure emotions through his works. For Ion, a powerful photograph has the ability of changing your perspective upon specific things, has the gift of sharing a mesmerising memory.
There are a lot of rules when it comes to photography, but the first one is to let your curiosity explore the world around you. Another one, equally important would be to always carry a camera with. Ion thinks that photography is about momentum, it is about the ability to capture special moments in the most beautiful manner.
Ion says: “When I bought my first camera I thought that just pressing the shutter would be enough to take some good photographs. Very soon I discovered that looking through the camera viewfinder is a further step into the world and that the camera is an instrument that teaches you how to see without a camera. Showing other people how your eyes see the world requires a lot of work, determination and special skills. Soon, it occurred to me that above everything in photography (equipment, technical skills, resources, etc.) reigns the eye of the photographer and its vision; a vision which has to convey his beliefs, ideas and style. I love being a photographer and I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to capture and document the places, the memories, love, look, mood and the happiness. I approach lifestyle portrait photography in a way that leads to an intimate and artful expression resulting in images that reflect each subject’s unique personality, capturing the natural mood of the day that will be cherished for years to come."
So many words to describe Ion's passion about photography, but maybe you would rather see some of his works in order to know him better:
