Jack Brown is a drummer and bassist currently based in Surrey. He is available for session playing, live and studio based, music projects and tuition. A well practiced musician in all genres, some of his favourites to play include: Rock, Blues, Pop, Disco and Funk as well as many electronic genres.

Jack was introduced to a drum kit at the age of 11 and instantly took to the instrument. He has worked through the Rock School examinations and achieved Grade 8 Drums. Throughout his education he was involved in a variety of bands and orchestras such as Swing Band and Wind Band. This helped him to develop his talent and vary his playing styles to suit a plethora of music genres. As well as this he enhanced his knowledge of various percussion instruments through his participation in a variety of musicals namely Disco Inferno and West Side Story. Jack took both Music and Music Technology for A levels and he achieved an B and A* respectively. During his music career he has toured across the UK as well parts of America and Jersey. Outside of education Jack has played in a wide variety of bands namely 'The Oddities,' a function covers band and 'Altered,' a four singer led folk and pop band. Jack has also completed a large amount of function dep work, the most notable being for the busy function band, 'Clinical Waste.'

At the age of 15, wanting to broaden his horizons, Jack also picked up the Bass Guitar. Displaying an instant connection with the Bass it has become Jack's other musical passion. Jack is influenced greatly by bassists like Nate Watts, Mike Pocaro and Chris Wolstenholme and strives to deliver bass playing to the highest standard. Jack has also grown a love for Bass effects and strives to re-create legendary Bass tones and create his own signature sounds. Jack's Bass sound is very well suited to powerful Rock tones such as Muse and Toto as well as electronic tones like Bjork and Ellie Goulding however he is always keen to branch out and has covered a wide range of genres whilst depping on Bass. He is also a full time member of '3 over 4,' a loud and proud pop goes rock function band.

Jack has completed his Bachelor of Music Honours degree in Drums performance with Middlesex University. This experience has helped him to widen his musical knowledge and develop his professionalism and drumming skills. Jack takes his inspiration from drummers such as Dave Weckl, Mike Portnoy and Jeff Pocaro and these artists strongly influence Jack to ever improve his Drumming skills. As well as this he is Musical Director and Drummer for Disco Disco, (www.discodiscoband.co.uk) a party function band that he has formed that focusses mainly on playing hit 70s and 80s covers and is in the process of building repertoire and filling their calendar. He works for and supports ‘Pegasus P.A.’ which is a high end P.A. company based from suffolk. Jack also teaches drums to many students in the local area and has contracts with several schools.

Jack aims to continue to widen and diversify his playing ability through further studies and hopes to maintain a busy working schedule as a go-to musician and teacher for many years whilst also establishing Disco Disco as a high quality, busy function band.
