I am a seasoned jeweller and CAD tutor who offers comprehensive jewellery-specific CAD/CAM training in all major CAD software packages currently used by the jewellery industry.

Below you will see a list of some of my most frequently requested jewellery CAD software classes. If you'd like to know about another software (such as older or more unusual jewellery CAD packages), then simply ask.

Group Classes

Rhino CAD Level 1 for Jewellery Design

This comprehensive three-day class starts with an introduction to the Rhino interface before moving on to the fundamentals of 2D curve construction and their use in creating cross sections for solid modelling. We then introduce the key tools of solid creation in Rhino one by one in the context of common jewellery forms—solitaire rings, eternity rings, bezel settings, claw settings, rubover settings, rex settings, pearl settings, and pinched shanks. Throughout these exercises, we will discuss important tolerance considerations for 3D printing models to use in precious metals casting. We will also discuss creating STL files for rapid prototyping (such as 3D printing). Various presentation and rendering processes will also be considered.

This course is intended for those who currently work professionally, or who wish to work professionally, in fine jewellery design, but who are relatively new to Rhino NURBS modelling software in a jewellery design context, all taught at our Certified Rhino training centre in London.

I'm offering this course in conjunction with SimplyRhino.com. You can find more information (including a course syllabus) on their website:

Jewellery CAD Tutor

I've been working as a jewellery CAD Tutor in London's jewellery quarter Hatton Garden since 2006. Over 800+ jewellery professionals and hobbyists have passed through my classroom.

Sep 2006 - Sep 2019

Aimed at: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

If you're not sure at what level you are at, we'll help you figure it out. Likewise, if you're not sure which type of software to learn, we'll help you figure that out too. (I've been using them all for a while, so I've become pretty good at describing the differences.)

We have our own training spaces, but if you want me to come to you, that's also fine.

Most of our terms and conditions are just common sense-- If we have no students, we can't run the class. If you book a course and cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we have to charge a fee.

If you want to see the official small print, see the terms and conditions on the CAD Jewellery Skills website.
