I am a teacher who enjoyes passing my love of music to others. I teach children from the age they can confidently read to adults looking to take a new challenge in their retirement years.

I am a very patient teacher, believing that each pupil progresses at a unique rate, finding some skills easier than others. However, I have high expectations of committment, expecting pupils to do as much as they can to bring their skills to each lesson.

I plan my teaching to enable each lesson to contain an element of success, and to introduce a challange. I enjoy my pupils and intend that they also enjoy me.

I teach to examinations, if pupils find them a good tool for progression. However, I do not feel that examination 'box ticking' is the correct course for everyone, so I also teach 'just for fun'.

I have QTS status and am CRB checked.
