Tai Chi & Qigong Fundamentals
Yang Style Tai Chi and Qi Gong Fundamentals
This one-day course is an ideal opportunity for students to discover and develop some of the fundamentals of tai chi, qi gong and bagua. Existing students will focus on refining and deepening the foundational material, allowing them to gain more from their practice and the greater curriculum at The Tai Chi Space in 2020.
There are two streams of learning:
1) Fundamentals – Energy Gates Qi Gong
Through developing the correct physical alignments, dropping qi and then building the movement in Tai Chi Clouds Hands, you will gain an insight and experience of connecting up your body and moving, whilst maintaining an awareness of your outer form. This skill can then be applied in other qi gong and internal arts practices.
Beginners and New Students – this is an excellent entry-level course.
Experienced Students – this is an opportunity to refine your alignments and movements, deepen your ability to relax and enhance the flow of qi you can generate.
2) Yang Style Tai Chi
As Paul will migrate to the Wu Style Medium in 2020, this group will provide an opportunity for existing stylists to continue receiving input and feedback on their Yang Style form. Jason will hone in on the specific areas of the form that require attention based on the students in attendance with them aim of helping you:
Integrate more (nei gong) internal content within your movements
Upgrade your practice
Improve the overall experience of practising this lovely form.
There will be an hour and half lunch 14:00-15:30.
Tai Chi & Qigong Fundamentals for Beginners and Intermediates
This course will introduce you to the first 8 moves of Wu style Tai Chi.
Through these moves relaxation, balance, coordination, improved posture, tension release and a sense of grounding will be developed.
These qualities will be enhanced through introducing Qigong internal exercises.
Follow on classes will continue throughout the year, with additional seminars focusing upon varies fundamental elements.
