I am a piano, singing and theory teacher with 23 years teaching experience. I teach from my home in Chelmsford, Essex where I live with my wonderful husband and two very cute cats.
I teach students of all ages and abilities and plan lessons according to your own goals and what you want to get out of your learning. Whether this be to gain ABRSM grades, help with school exams, or simply for the enjoyment of the instrument, together we will accomplish these aims and have a lot of fun along the way. I am a great believer that you need to enjoy the instrument you play in order to be successful at it. That is why I tailor my lessons to the individual, based on how you learn and where you want to go with it. A lot of planning goes into the lessons in order for you to get the most out of the time spent with me and so that you are able to use your practice time to the best of your ability. I teach various styles of music in both piano and singing. For example, my singing students can enjoy singing classical, folk, pop and even Disney songs (for the younger students) in their journey to becoming accomplished singers, whilst at the same time learning to sight read and control their breathing.

THE SMALL PRINT
24-hours notice is required for lesson cancellations. These lessons will then be rearranged accordingly. Should 24-hours notice not be given, this lesson will be chargeable. Obviously I understand that certain circumstances and illnesses are unavoidable, and this will be taken into account. Lessons that are cancelled by me will be rearranged or refunded, at my discretion.
For block bookings, payments will need to be made up-front either before or on the first lesson. This payment is non-refundable. This ties both the student and teacher into the number of lessons agreed. A 24-hour notice period for cancellations still applies.
