Joe Browne

I am a saxophone performer/teacher based in North London. Having studied music extensively - most recently with Dino Govoni and Joe Lovano at Berklee College of Music in Boston - I am now a regular fixture on the UK jazz and function scene. A jazz specialist, I am also extremely proficient in classical, blues and contemporary styles.
I can help students with all aspects of musical expression and understanding. Areas that I cover include technique, tone production, musical notation, improvisation, jazz theory, harmony, phrasing and ear training. This all sounds a little serious, but my primary aim is to make playing music enjoyable!
All players are welcome, from beginners to advanced. I have considerable teaching experience, both privately and for music services, and I am fully CRB registered. I prefer students to come to me, but I will also happily travel within North London to teach.
