Im Joe, a Project Musician at Sage Gateshead and established Guitarist.
Originally from Cumbria (the accent can take a few weeks to get over!), I've worked in schools as well as youth clubs and Adult education centres, teaching guitar, leading singing and drumming workshops and generallly making music with people!
There are two roads my students can go down. The first one is a strictly following the steps to become 'classically trained' as it were and get through the official Graded exams (Trinity, ABRSM, RGT etc),
Or,
the second route is to concentrate on learning guitar technique, learn to play songs well, perhaps write some original music and generally learn the tricks of the trade (reading music isn't for everyone, nor should it be!)
Whatever it is you want, I help you get yourself there.

Cancellation or re-arranging times is fine, however I need minimum of 24 hours notice otherwise missed time will unfortunately still be charged for.
Young people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. I have a quiet place to wait with tea/coffee and magazines.
