Joe Mills
Joe has been a professional actor since 1997 during which time he has had a successful career in the business. Having graduated from Drama School in Manchester, Joe qualified as a drama teacher before turning professional as an actor. He has toured the country many times appearing on stage as Bernie in “Ladies Night”, Wilbur in “Charlotte’s Web” and Tony in “Up n’ Under”. Other theatre work includes “Bouncers” at Liverpool Neptune Theatre, Lord Goring in “An Ideal Husband” at Lancaster, Jimmy Porter in “Look Back In Anger” at York Theatre Royal and as Les in his own play “Bouncing Back” at Bradford Alhambra. Joe has appeared on television numerous times. His credits include Coronation Street, Holby City, Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Shameless, The Royal and Jimmy McGovern’s The Street. Joe has also appeared on radio as Sir Lancelot in BBC Radio 4’s “The Midnight Folk” and in “This!” a sitcom, which he wrote himself. An experienced voice-over artist, Joe has voiced numerous characters in children’s animated series. Most recently he voiced Otto the Turtle and Desmond the Kangaroo in Nick Jr’s “Toot & Puddle”.
Joe has been a qualified Drama teacher since 1996 and has worked for the National Youth Theatre, for RADA as an acting coach and he currently works at ALRA North as a foundation course Drama coach.
