John Doig

I have had a great deal of performance experience including leading orchestras conducted by Mistislav Rostropovic and Vladimir Ashkenazy in England and on the continent, performing chamber music in the Wigmore Hall and playing solo with orchestra at the Gastaad Festival in Switzerland. It is these experiences together with the excellent training I received from Simon Fischer (one of the leading violin teachers in the world) that I draw upon when teaching. I have a BMUS in classical violin from the Guildhall school of Music and have turned my attention to teaching for the last few years. I give free trial lessons and consider all pupils.
