Piano lessons in Classical, Jazz, Improvisation, other popular styles and theory.
I have been teaching for over 10 years now, and have developed a very successful technique. I teach all ages, 5+ to adults, and abilities. I create an individual music syllabus based around each pupil. Everyone has different strengths, weaknesses and approaches, we find out what these are and then create a system of learning that will best suit the musical temperament of the pupil. The main emphasis, however, is on enjoyment! I make sure that lessons are satisfying, progressive and enjoyable. Whichever style you love, from Boogie Woogie to Be Bop to Strictly Classical, we will find the best way for you to learn in the quickest, most thorough way possible.
I am based in East Croydon, and most of my pupils come to me, however, I am flexible and am able to home visit should this be necessary.
As a musician I studied at the Croydon Schools Piano Centre, under Prof. Nigel Clayton and then went on to study music at Durham University.
I have toured a variety of European countries playing clasically.
I also play in a successful band where I have headlined and played the major London Venues (Jazz Cafe, koko, cargo, 100Club) and most of the main Uk festivals (Glastonbury, Secret Garden, Green Man etc).
