Jules is a vocal and singing workshop leader of over 20 years standing. She is a member of the Natural Voice Network and runs Adult and Children's Choirs which perform locally and nationally. She is part of the nationally acclaimed, Arts in Education Initiative, where she is the voice and song adviser, working with primary, secondary and advisory teachers from LEA's in the North West. Jules is also a Sing Up music leader and provides workshops and consultancy to local orchestras and theatres
Jules's workshops are inclusive and empowering. She works with any size groups, both adults and children,and teaches everything acapella and by ear. Jules uses accessible, relevant music and vocal games delivered with humour and confidence. The songs are often drawn from the oral tradition and include world and traditional music. Jules also teaches performance skills and repertoire for choirs and theatre groups
Jules also writes and arranges songs and is currently performing with the acapella jazz group," Helen and the Love notes"

Golden Voices

This is a choir made up of men and women who are over retirement age. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome. Taxis and the local Ring and Ride scheme transport everyone who needs it and the venue is fully accessible with facilities for a range of disabilities.All the teaching is by ear and you do not need to be able to read music or to have ant musical experience. We sing familiar songs with arrangements ranging from very simple to more challenging. The atmosphere is always jolly with plenty of cups of tea. The choir is quickly building up a reputation locally for quality performances and commitment to excellence.

Picture House Choir

The Picture House Choir learn everything by ear so you do not need to be able to read music. There are no auditions and everyone is welcome. We sing a range of songs from lots of different musical traditions and from across the globe. Terms last 10 weeks and end with a concert at Manchester's iconic Band on the Wall venue. We are also regularly invited to perform at city wide and other events. Members are friendly and we have a good time.
