Kate Jones
Reiki came into my life when I was offered treatment following my dad's death in 1987. I was so impressed by how it helped me and by the simplicity I decided to learn. In 1989 I took First Degree in Usui Shiki Ryoho and Second Degree a few months later. My enthusiasm for Reiki continued unabated, so that in 1991 I became a Reiki Master and began passing on this wonderful gift to others. My Reiki teaching took over my life and I still love teaching people Reiki or helping them to develop their Reiki practice. Some people learn Reiki then don't really use it. I love inspiring people to use this wonderful gift they have given themselves, or introducing Reiki to people whether it is by learning or through treatments.
I live in South Shropshire on a hill with wonderful views. I also enjoy travelling, so Reiki has taken me all over the UK including Scotland and Ireland (North and South), to Europe, the USA and Australia!
Reiki has also brought me into closer relationship with animals and I also help Reiki students to learn about giving Reiki to animals.
Reiki is a part of my daily life and enjoy sharing my passion for it. The rewards of seeing people's lives improve as they relax and gain health are beyond measure. However I do also need to earn a living and am committed to doing so through Reiki as far as possible.
One-to-one lessons
Group Classes
First Degree Reiki
First Degree Reiki is for complete beginners. You do not need any previous experience of healing. Reiki is an ability anyone who wants to can learn.
The way I teach is simple and accessible: no books or manuals to read, you will simply learn through watching, listening and practice. There is plenty of time for questions and you will also receive Reiki healing yourself during the course.
My intention is that you will go away after the four days confident in being able to use Reiki in your daily life. One of my students has treated himself every single day since the course for over 200 days.
Contact me if you have any questions on 01584 890 284.

Experience
Administrator of The Reiki Association
I was involved in the development of The Reiki Association from a small group of 200 practitioners and masters to an organisation with over 1,000 members. I participated in the development of the Practitioner Referral Scheme, the first listing of Reiki practitioners in the UK that involved exploration of the standards needed for public practise. I represented The Association on the Reiki Regulatory Working Group. I also spoke at conferences in Perth and Melbourne in Australia about the development of The Association.
After stepping down from the job of Administrator in 2004 I continued to be involved in a voluntary capacity on the Practitioner Support Programme, which became the Deepening Practice Network.
Reiki Treatments
Ongoing!
I have offered Reiki treatments from days after learning the First Degree. The more I do, the more I learn. I am fascinated by the human Being, how mind, spirit and body interact, what pulls us out of balance and what we can do to feel better.
I love the simplicity and unintrusiveness of Reiki. The practice encourages me to leave my ego aside and simply be there to support this person under my hands in their healing process, whatever that may be.
