Kate McPhail

Kate McPhail is a pianist, singer, community musician and teacher based in Partick, Glasgow. She is currently welcoming students of all ages and stages in: piano, flute and music theory.

A committed and creative educator, Kate has acquired wealth of experience over the past decade. Lessons are both challenging and fun with an emphasis on musical communication, developing aural skills and an understanding of the musical language in general.

Kate encourages many of her students to work towards ABRSM/ Trinity exams ( classical/ jazz/rock and pop) and participate in local music festivals and concerts. Moreover, she is happy to support students as they work towards SQA qualifications or entry to university or music college.

In equipping her students with the skills and confidence they need to enjoy music-making in all situations, Kate hopes to nurture a genuine and life-long love of music for everyone she teaches. All ages and abilities are welcome - come give it a try!
