Silver Art Clay Level 1 Instructor - adding this to my experience of using PMC clay.
I first started using PMC during the late 1990s and have sold items of my jewellery in many countries including the USA and Australia.
An experienced qualified photographer - I have worked in all spheres - from social to advertising photography prior to jewellery design.
I also have IHBC diplomas in Photographic and Media & Theatrical Makeup.

Group Classes
WDJ Diploma in PMC
The diploma course is designed for those who which to progress to making jewellery on a professional basis using silver precious metal clay. The course also includes designing and finishing techniques.
The course consists of 4 levels. On completion of each level a certificate will be issued to confirm that the course has been completed and the required level of competence has been achieved.
Although all levels must be completed to obtain the Jewellery Making Diploma (WDJ Dip), on achieving each level you will gain a certificate of achievement.
Level 1 - (2 days - suitable for those with no previous experience) £232
During the level 1 you will make at least 2 pendants , 2 pairs of earrings and a ring, plus using fine silver findings and decorative stone.
The projects within this level also include torch firing and kiln firing.
Attainment : Level 1 - Certificate of Achievement
Level 2 - (3 days - Level 1 certificate needed) £348
During the level 2 you will make at least one pendant, one brooch, 2 pair of earrings and two rings, plus using silver wire and decorative stones
In this level there is the option instead of making a brooch to make a second pendant.
The projects within this level encompass design techniques.
Attainment : Level 2- Certificate of Achievement
Level 3 - (4 days - Level 1 and 2 certificates needed) £464
During level 3 you will make at least 1 bail, 2 clasp ends, 2 pendants and 1 ring, plus using silver wire, incorporating a cabochon , 1 unsupported hollowform 'bead' pendant, and a pair of earrings with sheet PMC.
The projects within this level encompass using design techniques.
Attainment : Level 3- Certificate of Achievement
Level 4 - (3 days - level 1, 2 and 3 certificates needed.) £348
During level 4 you will make 2 pendants and create a chain bracelet with PMC, plus adding gold and hot enamelling.
This will also include your own project piece of jewellery for this final assessment, with or without a dichroic cabachon.
The projects within this level encompass using design techniques.

Introduction to Silver Clay
Full day workshop - 10am - 5pm Refeshments and light lunch included.
Learn how to create your own piece of jewellery with precious metal clay.
Starting with handling & designing with the clay, setting a stone, drying & firing, and finishing with polishing your finished items.
You go home with the finished silver jewellery that you have created.
