I have been sewing since the age of 10 on my mother's (dangerous!) old Singer treadle sewing machine. Although I began with dressmaking - everything from tailoring to wedding dresses - I became increasingly interested in colour and texture and ultimately studied for a Degree in Textile Design. Since then I have made soft furnishings, bags and clothes and developed my hand and machine embroidery skills.

As well as making curtains professionally I now thoroughly enjoy passing on my various abilities via a variety of sewing courses and workshops - both practical and creative. It has been extremely rewarding to pass on sewing skills to others (both men and women)observing them open up to a world of possibilities which lies before them. They really enjoy the process and experience plenty of laughs along the way. I teach both beginners - those who have never even threaded up their sewing machines - as well as more experienced sewers. Come and join the fun!
