As an experienced secondary school English teacher in schools throughout London, I have taught students of all backgrounds, ages and abilities.

As a long-term private tutor, in students' primary school years, I tend to focus on building their confidence and ability in the fundamental reading, writing and comprehension skills so essential for the demands of their secondary education.

During Key Stage 3, preparing students for the demands of continual exam assessment throughout their secondary education is key to their success. As well as ensuring they are fully prepared, I also consistently ensure they have an assured foundation in their written English. Feeling secure in this area ultimately gives students the confidence to express their opinions in a fluid and coherent manner.

At Key Stage 4, there is the additional focus on GCSE coursework whilst working towards their final exams.

I also have experience tutoring students for common entrance tests, 11+ and 13+ for independent schools.

I offer short term coaching to university students who may be completing assignments in a different subject, but require assistance with the composition and structure of their dissertation.

Many of my corporate clients find some of their younger staff members require assistance with their written English, which is essential for the professional image of the company. I coach their staff on site, to ensure they establish a strong skill set in business standard English.
