I have practiced architecture and urban design for several respected design-focused architecture practices. My professional post-graduate career started in 1998, when I completed my architecture degree at RMIT University, following completion of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Design.

I am currently employed at Williams Boag Architects in Melbourne, and have previously practiced at Cox Architects and Planners and the firm Mitchell Giurgola Thorp in Canberra (they designed New Parliament House).

I have taught design for ten years in a sessional capacity at RMIT University and the University of Melbourne, and I have been a guest critic at the new Monash University Architecture Programme. I have also been an invited guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne in the Cultural Studies/Film Studies Courses of the English Department, and have spoken at several conferences.

Importantly, while architecture is a team effort, I have personally been a principal contributor to more than one building recognised by State, National and International industry awards, including the United Nations of Australia World Environment Day Award 2000.

I have been called on to provide expert testimony to assist the Victorian Civil Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and I am currently providing expert advice to numerous Councils and government departments in Melbourne and regional Victoria, and more recently for the Gosford City Council in New South Wales. I have also assisted some of Australia and the region's largest private developers and building companies, including Lend Lease, Grocon, Equiset, Stockland, A.V.Jennings and Multiplex.

I am a published design critic and contribute regularly to the Journal of the Design Institute of Australia, Artichoke Magazine. I have also been published in the Journal of the Australian Institute of Architecture, Architecture Australia, and other journals including that of the Royal Australian Planning Institute and the Victorian State Chapter of the AIA.

In addition to my extensive teaching and workshop experience, my certificate in Professional Coaching has equipped me to assist students and aspiring architects one-on-one, and impart some of the lessons I have learned within the profession to the next generation of designers.
